Capstar Oral Flea Tablets offer a rapid solution for eliminating adult fleas on cats. Each tablet contains 11.4mg of nitenpyram, an FDA-approved insecticide that targets the nervous system of adult fleas. Treatment begins working within approximately 30 minutes, making it particularly useful when immediate flea control is needed. The formula is suitable for cats and kittens weighing between 2 and 25 pounds and aged at least four weeks. Unlike topical treatments, Capstar is administered orally, eliminating the need to apply medication directly to the cat's coat. 

The six-tablet package provides convenient treatment for recurring adult flea infestations. Tablets can be administered directly or concealed in food, and another dose may be given as often as once daily if reinfestation occurs. However, Capstar does not provide lasting flea prevention or eliminate eggs, larvae, and pupae in the environment. Effective long-term control generally requires a veterinarian-recommended preventive treatment alongside cleaning bedding, carpets, and other flea-prone areas. Some cats may experience temporary itching, increased activity, vomiting, or other adverse reactions.
