Each tube is activated by adding warm water, creating a sugar solution containing boric acid that is intended to attract and eliminate mosquitoes over a period of up to 30 days. Installation is straightforward and requires no special equipment, electricity, or ongoing maintenance beyond monthly replacement. The manufacturer recommends hanging the tubes in shaded outdoor locations, approximately 6 feet above ground and at least 80 feet away from areas where people gather, since mosquitoes are intended to be attracted toward the bait stations rather than occupied spaces.
